Spiritual Formation

A Life of Prayer: Missionaries fill up on daily prayer and sacraments, and receive courses in Catholic Social Teaching in order to share Christ’s love with others.

Leadership & Career Development

A Life of Apostolate: Missionaries are on the streets daily living out authentic Christian charity, while also gaining leadership experience in non-profit operations.
Optional internship credit available. 

Authentic Friendship

A Life of Intentional Community: Missionaries live in a household with their peers sharing a life of community, prayer, service, and simplicity.

Fundraising

Cost includes lodging, food, and formation.
Does NOT include airfare to summer of service location. Christ in the City provides you with tools to raise the necessary funds. This can be an opportunity to invite others to join our mission who are unable to serve in such a way.

Men, complete an initial application below and we’ll be in touch shortly. Next, our Applications Department will arrange a time for you to visit Christ in the City and experience missionary life for a weekend. During this time, you will sit down with our Director of Formation for an interview to determine if CIC is a good fit.

Fundraising

We know fundraising can be difficult. That’s why we do everything we can to keep your personal fundraising requirements as low as possible. While missionaries are guided in raising $8,100, CIC works to secure donors to match that and supply the other half of the funds necessary to support you while you’re here.
